RSS Software Installation
  1. Download The Software

    To start the installation process you will first need to download the RSS software. For convenience we have a prepackaged our RSS feed with a program called FeedReader.

    You can download the software here.

    Once you click that link you should see a screen similar to this:

    Run or Save image

    You can either choose to run it immediately after it downloads or you can save it to a location and run it from there, just don't forget the location you saved it to. Either way will work.

  2. Install the Software

    The installation process is quick and easy. The only things you have to do is choose your preferred language for the installation, the directory you would like to install to, and where you would like it to place the shortcut icons.

    After the installation has completed you will see either a little orange square or a gray square in the lower right hand corner of your screen near the system clock like this:

    If there are new items to read the square will light up orange, otherwise it will remain gray. Either way if you see that square then you have successfully installed FeedReader!

Adding an RSS Feed

CWC offers a number of RSS Feeds to best suit your needs. There are four main RSS Feeds which you can find here:

  • RSS Feeds

  • Hardlines updates: http://www.cwcinventories.com/rss_feed.php?id=1
  • Grocery updates: http://www.cwcinventories.com/rss_feed.php?id=2
  • Sporting Goods updates: http://www.cwcinventories.com/rss_feed.php?id=3

If this is still too broad, you can Customize Your Own Feed. This gives you the ability to pick and choose exactly what product lines you want updates for. For either of these options you will still have to add a new feed to FeedReader which you can do by following these steps.

  1. Select the Feed

    After you've selected the feed you would like, you'll need to select the rss link with your cursor, right click and copy it.

  2. Add the New Feed

    With FeedReader open, find the "New" button above the feed list on the left hand side of the screen. Click on the arrow, and choose "New feed".

    Once you choose the "New feed" option the RSS Feed that you copied should automatically appear in a box on the upper-right hand side of the screen. Click "Ok".

    FeedReader should think for a few seconds and a new feed should appear on the left-hand side of the screen.

    Congratulations! You have just added another feed!
